How to establish a remote support session
To establish a PCVisit remote connection, open the Host Module with the shortcut in the start menu. The start screen will show up. Verify that the Support button is selected and click Support Start to create a session number.
Advise the customer to open the PCVisit Guest Module by either
- clicking the corresponding hint in the lower left of the coDiagnostiX start screen
- using the F9 key while working in coDiagnostiX
- clicking the PCVisit Guest Module shortcut in the coDiagnostiX start menu folder
- Getting a new copy of the guest module in case of problems (no installation, broken, too old)
- lead them to the PCVisit website http://www.startguest.com
- Choose the “PCVisit Guest Module 10.0 and 12.0” on the right
- start the download and run it right after
The session ID is displayed in the upper right of your PCVisit Host Module. Give it to your session partner via phone or email and let them type it into the given field in the PCVisit Guest Module, followed by a click on Start support.
