Problems with modified grayscale range and bad contrast/brightness
Sometimes it's necessary to change the automatic greyscale range for the advanced DICOM import to a user-defined value. This can help for certain scans to improve the overall image quality, but will lead to problems on others.
If the customer is not satiesfied with the image quality in coDiagnostiX despite it looking good in the X-ray scanner's own software, please check if this was changed. The option can be found in the “Advanced Mode” of the DICOM import (on older versions of coDiagnostiX, the Advanced Mode is the only mode for importing DICOM data).
Select Create Dataset (DICOM)
and choose Switch to advanced mode

Go to the global Grayscale Range dialog:
And set it back to Read from DICOM data (automatically)
