Digital Drill Guide: Advanced Labels
Beside simple things like patient names or information, you can also use the label function within the DDG wizard to print sleeve or surgical guide kit information. Here are some symbols you can use for this:
- One Line (Minus): “ - ”
- Two Lines (Equal sign): “ = ”
- Three Lines (“Identical to” sign, Unicode $2261): “ ≡ ”
- Dots (“Bullet” sign, Unicode $2022; Alt+0149): “ • ”, “ •• ”, “ ••• ”
To input a symbol code on Windows, hold the Alt
key and type the Alt code on your numpad and release the Alt
key. Windows will then insert the symbol associated with the given code. This works almost everywhere.
Symbols without an Alt Code need to be copy & pasted or copied using the Windows Character Map application. In Microsoft Office (Version “XP” or newer) you can type “U+Number” and press Alt+C
to get the symbol, e.g. “U+2022” will become “•”.
